(aka the NEXT Big DAY!)
Pups 6 month update

My little Pirate (sometimes called Pie Pie) has an adoption pending! He and I, now, have our futures all planned out for us. There is interest in the other little ones, but we have not gotten anything firm, yet.

My foster mom feeds the puppies four times a day. They get Purina Puppy Chow soaked for about a half hour in water. They now have a larger dish cause they were too big to fit around that other bowl. They are still very good in that they do not go potty on their beds. When they are in the playroom, though, they will pee on the carpet. I don't mind! They are my perfect little fur babies and they can do no wrong!

Oh My, I had no idea so many days had gone by since my last detailed entry until I looked at the dog calendar on my foster mom's desk. (Even tho' there are "dog years" that are different from people years, we still use the same calendar as people do.)

I am feeling great these days. I love when I get to have my pups with me. I play with them like they are a toy. I always look up to my foster mom to be sure I am doing things right. When I am told I am a good girl it makes me that much happier. I typically only get to play with one or maybe two at a time. That clothing thing was a bit cumbersome and wasn't working out all that well, so I am back to being au naturale with my babes. My foster mom just makes sure that they do not suckle from me. I kind of help with that a bit, too. Those puppy teeth are quite sharp!

I was out in the yard with two of my boys today, Zigs and Doodle. Photos below:

This is little ZigZag playing Monkey in the Middle with me and my foster mom's dog, Gunner.

Doodle running in the leaves (yes, that is my eye you see to the left in the image)
T-Bone came out later on. Unfortunately, an ant bit her, you can see her holding up her little hurt paw. My foster mom took that ant off of little TiTi, right away! T-Bone was fine and went running in the leaves.

Okay, this was the best surprise ever! Today my new mom and my new dad came by to see me. We sat together, they pet me, I got to play with Geisha for a while. My mom pet some of my other puppies, my dad was real nice to Heidi - Heidi was feeling so left out. My dad is kind and let Heidi climb into his lap. Does this sound like a fairy tale family to you? Well, it's real! I can hardly believe it, but it is really real and they are my family, well, mine and Dweezel's, of course.

When my mom and dad left I was given a bath and my nails were trimmed. This is all cause I am not going to be able to have a bath for awhile. How Lucky is that!!! No bath for a while, whoo hoo! Seems I will be spayed tomorrow. I don't know what that is but I'll bet it is another fun adventure! I hope so. Maybe I will see my family, again. How neat that will be.

Well, this day did not start off very well. The puppies were fed, I was not. I did not even get a drink of water!

I wonder if this home is under new management....

I did get a ride in the van, I like that! It means an adventure is in the future. We went to the vet's office. UGH. I was left in a cage, again. I hope this is not something I have to get used to.

Meanwhile, back at the house, the puppies had a little yard playtime. At first they kept following my foster mom all around the yard. They tried following some of the other dogs, but the other dogs would bark in the puppies' faces. Eventually, the puppies felt comfortable enough in the yard to do their own exploring. Bungee even figured out the doggie door all by herself!

I heard my foster mom speaking with Carol, our pack leader. Seems that some of the other pups now have promised homes. Pirate, Doodle and Abbey are spoken for as well as one of the other girls (not sure which one, yet). So, it looks like Zig is the only boy that is still available.

I found out what a 'spay' is. It is a long nap, but when you wake up you have stitches and a cumbersome collar around your neck, and quite a bit of pain. It is evidently a once in a lifetime experience. (good). I don't know what the puppies are gonna think! I hope I don't scare them!

Ouch. I can barely walk. Good thing I am on pain meds.. ouch!

The pups got their first vaccines, everyone was very brave and not one tear was shed. What brave babies I have.

Carol brought over some new toys for all the pups. They will each get to take one home when they leave here. They have new collars, too. I think they are going to have to grow into them, though.

I am much better, today. I was actually feeling better last night. Today, I was able to take a real walk, just like the old days.

Guess who we saw today....... okay, you won't be able to guess so I will tell you. Doodle's adoption Mom and Dad. Yup. They drove a very long time to come and see him! They smelled great, just like real dog lovers. They pet me and told me I am nice. I believe them.

Little Doodle was quite tuckered out so he slept most of the time his Mom and Dad were here. He was brought a new toy and one of his dad's shirts. My little boy, Doodle (new name to be determined) will be a loved and happy boy, I can tell. I am a lucky momma to be able to meet my pups' new parents. So far everyone is so very nice. How grand can life be? What gas station?

There haven't been many photos taken lately, seems like my foster mom is always doing something else. We do have a few, tho.

This is a photo with a new box of 'stuff'. Puppies LOVE stuff. And they can MAKE stuff out of anything!
Here, a few pups are in the playroom playing 'tug' (one of their favorite games is to tug on everything.. my tail, my foster mom's pajama's, my foster grandma's socked feet.. anything!). One pup decides to take a short cut through the room by jumping over one of the 'tugger's'.
This is a photo of Bungee and Abbey trying to convince us that never in their life (of six weeks) have they heard of nap time and don't have a clue on what that means. (Pirate, on the other hand, has it down pat!)
