I am very smart. I know this cause my foster mom always tells the truth and she told me as well as my foster grandma that I am 'very smart'. I spent an hour outside with Pirate, Bungee and T-T (aka T-Bone) this morning, before Pirate left (more on that later). I noticed my foster mom was trying to keep the little ones away from the 'big' dogs, Buddy and Gunner. I watched my foster mom carefully and then when I saw one of the pups going toward the 'big' dogs, I jumped on my puppy and distracted her (or him).
Also, my foster mom did not want the pups coming inside through the doggy door. I was inside and the babes wanted to come in, too. But, by then, the big dogs were inside, so my foster mom held the doggy door flap down - to prevent the pups from pushing through. I was watching. My foster mom said to me, "Honey, I don't want the puppies to come in right now." So, when the next pup stuck his/her head through that flap I put my paw on the pups head and pushed the puppy back outside, just like I saw my foster mom do. I did this a few times, but it was tiring so, eventually, I went outside with the pups again until they were allowed to come back in for their 10 o'clock nap.
When Pirate left today
I was not as upset as I was yesterday. I could smell a cat in the front yard when we walked Pirate to his new car. That smell was very interesting. Then, I was given a biscuit from the car, and that was quite nice! Pirate has a momma and a dad and he also has a human brother, Derek. Derek is very nice with Pirate, very gentle and loving. Derek also paid good attention to his mom and dad. I think that Pirate is going to have a very happy time in his new home. Bye, bye little Pie-Pie.
I spent my last night in foster with my two little girls. We played so hard they fell asleep on me.
