Honey came to us from a shelter. She was pregnant when she arrived and had her pups shortly thereafter.

Honey is extremely affectionate.

Honey's hobbies include:

Resting while you watch TV	Having you watch her roll in the grass

She does not require a lot of activity to keep her happy!

She is a very sweet girl but is a little cautious of strangers. Honey loves to get attention, and enjoys just about anything you may want to do. She likes the idea of going out for a stroll, she is not a fast walker, she is a definite "stop and smell the roses" kind of girl.

Honey is very food oriented, we are using treats to help train her to overcome some of her shyness. She is coming along very nicely on the confidence ladder, and now even starts it herself satisfied to get affection rather than treats as a reward. Honey will do ~~one~~ three jumps on the agility course, and sits beautifully on the pause pad, waiting for her praise.

Honey gets along with most other dogs, but if she is frightened of a dog she may growl (and then run away).

Honey will alert you with a few barks, and a possible howl, if someone approaches the house or yard.
Honey is still somewhat skittish but is now doing very nicely on the confidence ladder and all of her jumps!

Honey seems to suffer from separation anxiety in certain cases. She has been in foster for many months and does not exhibit this behavior when left with full run of the house, however she will misbehave if left in one room and separated from the rest of the house. Honey was on a trial adoption, though, and was very stressed when left alone for three hours with full run of the house. This may be due to the insecurity of leaving her foster home and then suddenly being left alone. As a result of this behavior Honey needs a home where someone will be with Honey most of the time. A retired family may be the best choice for Honey.
Honey is walked twice a day, for exercise only. Honey will not relieve herself on walks. Honey uses the backyard (via a doggy door in her foster home) to relieve herself.

Honey is fed twice a day for a total of 1 cup of Flint River Ranch high quality dog food.

Honey is used to sleeping in the master bed.

When we place our dogs, we are looking for good homes. We do not use the environment they came from as a benchmark.
