After years of rescuing all breeds of dogs, "Ziggy Beagle Rescue" was started in 1994 in memory of my first beagle, Ziggy, who died of cancer at the age of six.
Located on the central east coast of Florida, we are dedicated to the rescue of beagles. Some are abused and/or abandoned. Most come from shelters, some are strays and some come from private individuals, who can no longer care for their beagle-each with their own reason.
We strive to rehabilitate each one, when needed, and find loving, responsible and permanent homes for them. Before a beagle can be adopted, we inform prospective adopters about the characteristics and requirements of owning a beagle.
Ziggy Beagle Rescue is only funded by our adoption fees and donations by caring people. We are always in need of foster homes (caretakers for our beagles awaiting adoption).
